Brazil began to explore its seas in the 60’s of XX Century looking for petroleum. This journey Northeast and first oil field produced offshore was Guaricema Field, State Sergipe. During 70’s, Petrobrás found Campos Basin, between States Espírito Santo Rio de Janeiro, that became most important province until discovery Pre-Salt province, Santos Basin. As these fields are producing a long time, many them already completely depleted or their production is way be not commercial anymore, facilities need decommissioned. review decommissioning practices fixed platforms carried out worldwide has focus on removal topside with special vessels designed this purpose conventional methods (crane + barge). It will show benefits using specialised heavy lift remove topsides move it shore dismantling / recycling reuse disposal. The cases study were successful projects North Sea: Brent B/D, Valhall QP, Viking, Curlew, Eider A, Golden Eye Leman, Iwaki-Oki, Halfweg Q1, Yme Ninian North.
